"Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." Jeremiah 33:3

Having a relationship with God can start at any age, and the key to such relationship is feeding a healthy prayer life into your household and family. By trying different ways to connect with God, children will learn that prayer is one of the greatest adventures in life.

Being a parent means leading by example. What your children see you do, they will do.

Growing up, I remember thinking that prayer was boring, if it didn't involve Barbie clothes or the latest dinosaur movie, I would lose all interest. Luckily, I had a very awesome mom who made it her duty to always make prayer time fun. She taught me that prayer isn't just about asking for help, but that it is also about giving Thanks to God. My favorite was when we would take prayer walks around our neighborhood and Thank God for all of the blessings and the beauty he has surrounded us with. It taught me that I could take prayer anywhere with me.

Even today, I still catch myself sending off a few prayers while I'm cooking a meal, driving my car, or going on a walk. One day, I wish to instill the gift of prayer in my own children's lives. It is the best gift they will ever receive.
